Kendari Filigree is hand-made on Sulawesi, Island, Indonesia
from locally mined 22 and 23 karat gold. The art of making this beautiful and delicate-looking filigree has been handed down through several generations. Originally made only in the south-eastern coastal town of Kendari, it is now made in
several area villages and towns. The art of working with
silver and gold was introduced by the Chinese over
150 years ago.
